MUSIC

My music is created with hardware, often misusing obsolete technologies like reel to reel and 4 track tape recorders. My approach is experimental with my live performances being improvised around my modular synth which incorporates self-made modules. I also have several battery powered rigs which I love using outdoors in different settings which inspire the outcome and provide additional ambient sounds.

I have played at festivals including Shambala, Dronica and Art Futura and have produced commissioned soundtracks for use in videos and events. I often collaborate with other visual and sound artists.

Bossa Nova – Live Jam

Bossa Nova-inspired, improvised jam.

Created with a modular synth with a Turing Machine as its beating heart.

Solstice 2023

Dub inspired, improvised soundscape created live on a beach of the Kent coast to celebrate the 2023 Summer Sostice.

It incorporates ambient field recordings of the day and was performed on a small portable rig comprised of Volcas: Beats, Kick & Modular plus a delay pedal.

Ocean Rise II

Soundscape created for Aphra Shemza’s Ocean Rise sculpture. Commissioned by Oslo Kommune | Curated by Helga-Marie Nordby |

It was created live in Nesodden, Oslo. It features field recordings from the area combined with soundbites from the workshop delivered in collaboration with Norsk Billedhoggerforening (Norwegian Sculptors Society) on a bed of modular sounds.

A huge thanks to our workshop participants: Ava Weider-Hagemann, Hugo Nilsen Zamecznik, Leo Darrough, Liv Darrough, Mari Nodley-Willberg, Olav Garbias Paasloe, Rikoll N.Øvrelid and their parents for their contribution to the project.

Ocean Rise

Codeoute
